第2番目の無花果ビールのリリースです！2020年は、無花果と無花果の葉を使ったアンバーを醸造しました。2021年は、無花果の葉のみを用いたビッグイングリッシュバーレーワインです。6月に醸造し、無花果の葉を加えた後、9月に充填しました。その後、滑らかさが出るまで蔵で熟成をさせました。

このビールでは、濃厚なキャラメルとトフィーの風味に無花果の香りが重なり合っています。無花果からは、シナモン、ココナッツ、バニラのフルーティでスパイシーな風味が共に楽しめます。今でも十分飲み頃なのですが、何本か取り置きして、数年熟成させた後で風味の変化を楽しむこともできます。

We have our second fig beer to release. In 2020 we brewed an amber ale with figs and fig leaves. For 2021 we went with a big English Barleywine and used only fig leaves added in the fermenter. The beer was brewed in June. The leaves were added and the beer was packaged in September. We then put the bottles and kegs in our old rice storage house to age and smooth out the rough edges.

The beer has big notes of caramel and toffee that blend in with the fig. The figs are both fruity and spicy with cinnamon, coconut and vanilla flavors. We think it is great right now but feel free to take some bottles and age them for years.
